The purpose of this project was to select artist and create a restaurant branding based off of their artwork/style. My artist was Jim Nutt who was a surreal artist who has traveled from coast to coast of the U.S.A. Nutt spent a majority of his life in the Chicago area which is why I chose a pizzeria restaurant. I incorporated Nutt's quirkiness into my branding in order to represent his artistic style and influence in pop culture. The colors for this restaurant are actually two of the main painting colors he uses throughout much of his work.
Marketing Element for my Nutt's Pizzeria Resturant. We were given an artist and were told to create a logo and marketing element based of his/her personality or artistic style. (Links in the billboard are fictional.)
For the Nutt's Pizza menu, we were supposed to create a menu based off our artist chosen at the begining of the semester and our logo/marketing element. My artist was Jim Nutt who was a surrealist and spent most of his time in Chicago, which is why I chose a pizzeria. Because he was a surrealist, I chose to go a clean and playful route. I also chose the red and yellow colors to not only display pizza, but these colors were actually sampled from Nutt's artwork.
The design of the menu is a doublesided, vertically spiral bound menu.
